Youths and sports development plays a major role in promoting national peace, unity and development. Constantly improving the skills and competencies of youths and sports development officers is crucial to achieving sustainable development goals. By committing to the development of youths and sports officers, they will be motivated to effectively transfer knowledge, coach and mentor youths to attain greater heights. Objectively therefore, this workshop is designed to serve a refresher train-the-trainer programme for youths and sports development officers, game masters/mistresses, coaches, mentors and other stakeholders involved in youths and sports development.
By the end of this workshop; participants will be able to:
- develop effective coaching and mentoring strategies;
- apply emotional intelligence skills in youths and sports programmes;
- perform advanced first aid practice effectively;
- develop effective marketing strategies for youths and sports programmes;
- use computer programmes in developing and administering youths and sports programmes;
- monitor and evaluate youth and sports development programmes;
- design inclusive youths and sports development curriculum; and
- administer youths and sports development programmes to youths.
